The Agrium Redwater Nitrogen Operations Ammonia 2 plant underwent a project that included thernreplacement of a 24-year-old Haldor Topsoe S-200 ammonia catalyst basket with a Haldor Topsoe S-rn300, subsequent replacement of 24-year-old converter catalyst, the inspection and repair of thernconverter pressure shell and associated plant process modificationsrnThis paper will highlight the process description/operating basis, project execution including the in-rnspection and subsequent repairs to converter pressure shell, as well as the condition of the 24 year oldrnbasket and catalyst, startup and EH&S considerations.
