Deterministic transport codes have recently been shown to be useful for gamma spectroscopy problems where particle tracking becomes problematic (such as problems with large amounts of shielding or long dwell times) [1]. This includes applications relevant to homeland security and nuclear nonproliferation, such as screening cargo containers or long dwell time measurements on ships.
