摘要

22 tunnels with a total length of 21.8 km on the new High Speed rail Rome-Naples line have been designed and constructed on the basis of the ADECO-RS approach which makes a clear distinction between the construction and the design stages or moments and allows execution times and costs of underground works to be planned accurately. The paper first illustrates the design principles followed and then at the end discusses the results, which were in line with forecasts, in terms of times and costs.
