Two-Electron Reductions of Many-Electron Wavefunctions

We discuss a number of two-electron distributions that can be extracted from a many-electron wavefunction, via the Wigner distribution. Two of these, the Position and Momentum intracules, have been known for many years and discussed by many authors. Two others, the Wigner and Action intracules, were introduced two years ago. Four new distributions, the Omega, Lambda, Dot and Angle intracules, are presented here for the first time. We argue that some of these intracules may be useful for understanding electron correlation.
