Ultra-low loss hollow-core photonic crystal fibers at 589 nm for LGS-assisted AO

【摘要】We are developing a hollow-core photonic crystal fiber to be used as a beam relay in pulsed sodium laser guide star systems with a target maximum attenuation of 30 dB/km, 20 dB/km as goal. In order to optimize the fiber geometry, we numerically model the light propagation using a finite-element solver that allows us to simultaneously optimize several structural parameters.
