Vircator based on repetitive pulsed power generator

摘要

A repetitive compact Tesla transformer and plasma-opening switch (POS) based VIRCATOR system has been developed. This whole system generates electrical powers well in excess of 20 GW in a single shot and can be operated up to 10 Hz. This electrical power is converted into microwave by using VIRCATOR with the efficiency around one.
