"Baokexiang" tea oil was found edible at the end of 1950's from the seed of Camellia yuhsinenensis Hu which was formerly wild. Since the discovery of it, farmer's families in one of its original area of Hunan Province Have eaten it as cooking oil for more than 30 years. Recent resutls fro mthe test of the fatty acid composition of the oil from the introduction area in Zhejiang Province, China showed the range of oleic acid as 66.51-81.25
