LEGAL ASPECTS OF 'SCIENCE-OFFS'

This presentation will focus on a number of principal legal a.o. issues related to spin-off companies emanating from the science base (dubbed as "science-offs"), such particularly from the angle of the technology providing institution/PRO. Issues covered include: the position of the founding scientists, asset contribution, consideration, standards and protective control rights. The presentation will conclude with some lessons learnt.
