Unconscious Indicator for Motion

摘要

This study proposes a new viewpoint on motion verbs using a cognitive linguistic framework to embody the basic concept with time, place, and path. Focusing on the verb "come", we put forward a hypothesis that the motion of "come" is directed by an unconscious indicator which is drawn from a pre-existing landmark and it provides the explanation for the spatial and deictic expressions with "come".
