This paper reports and dicusses the results and experiences of CWT mode operation in 300MW once-through boiler unit, in which the low pressure heater tube is made of copper alloy. The results show that CWT technique can e-liminate the scaling problem in flow throttle control valves of feedwater pump, prevent the increase in boiler pressure drop, economize the dynamic spend of feedwater pump, reduce Fe content in water-steam cycle circuit and so on- In this test and operation, the control criterion of water quality under CWT operation for actual unit has been defined.
