Direct enantioseparation by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) has become one of the most efficient techniques to separate various types of chiral compounds including drugs and different types ofchiral stationary phases (CSPs) has been developed for this purpose [1].Among these,CSPs consisting of phenylcarbamates of cellulose have been extensively examined and correlations between the electronic and structural properties of substituents and chiral recognition abilities of the CSPs have been established [2,3].Compared to the cellulose derivatives,amylose derivatives have not been studied thoroughly although they are also of great potential use as CSPs.And the correlations between the nature and structures of substituents and the chiral discrimination abilities of amylose phenylcarbamates still remain obscure.
