Chiral ligand exchange chromatography (CLEC),as shown by Davankov and other workers,has proven to be a very powerful tool for resolving enantiomers,achieving high selectivity and specificity,representing a valid alternative since it does not require any prior sample handling.S-trityl-(R)-cysteine was used as the chiral selector,which was dynamically coated on a ZORBAX SB-C18 column (150×4.0 mm i.d.) in our study.The suitable chromatographic conditions (such as the type and amount of cupric salt,the eluent pH and column temperature) were investigated.
