Study and Practice of Modern Engineering Design Graphics

摘要

Modern engineering design has developed into the digital time. It is composed of the 3-Demensional ge6metric models of the products that integrate CAD and CAM at whole. The design with 2-Demensional drawing cannot meet the needs of modern design to present ideas for designers. Therefore, We have reformed traditional Engineering Graphics teaching system with the emphasis on the point of 3-Demensional design, and established the Modern Engineering Design Graphics (MEDG) teaching system. This paper mainly discusses new thinking for teaching reformation and illustrates the features of MEDG curriculum which have merged projective geometric, computer graphics and mechanical drawing. Then, the details about teaching reformation have been introduced. This teaching reformation is a challenge to traditional Engineering Graphics based on Mergers orthogonal projective theory in our country.
