摘要

Hybrid Stainless Steel Assemblies pushes the value to new frontier for all vital properties where value innovation can take place in product design. It is lighter and has better formability than aluminum and is stiffer than solid steel. HSSA systems create structural stiffness from section properties rather than material properties resulting in that it absorb energy exceptionally well. HSSA design leads to increased lightness, less parts, reduced surface treatment, superior acoustical performance, lower tool costs, shorter design-to-market time and improved scrap value. Large weight reductions (typically 50-70%) is possible as a result of laminating ultra-thin stainless steel sheet and fibers in various combination of different composites: Stainless Steel fibres, diameters 8-35 μm; Stainless Steel Sheets, thickness 50 -200 μm.
