摘要

The Peer-to-Peer Space Billionaires are the entrepreneurs and business leaders who have delivered public goods and services through outer space and made fantastic amounts of personal money by leveraging the advance of digital communications (a digital "Peer" transferring digital information to another digital "Peer") in the Information Age. Cable Television, Satellite Television, Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) Receivers, Satellite Radio, Satellite Imagery, Electronic Program Guides, and thousands of new Television Channels would not be possible today without man-made Earth-Orbiting Satellites or without the advancement of computer semiconductors known as digital signal processors (DSPs). The Peer-to-Peer Space Billionaires have already demonstrated both the public and private economic benefits from the combination of Space and Digital Technologies. Satellite TV Billionaire Charlie Ergen, Cable TV Billionaire Charles Dolan, GPS Billionaire Min Kao, Satellite Imagery Billionaire Jack Dangermond, Electronic Programming Guide Billionaire Henry Yuen, and Television ChannelrnBillionaires Ted Turner, Frank Batten, and Robert Johnson have all made their fortunes by bringing space and digital technologies to masses of people within the private sector and government. There will always be future innovations and benefits from Space, because individuals like these Peer-to-Peer Space Billionaires can become very wealthy by bringing these innovations and benefits from space to mankind. As long as there is a great economic incentive for individuals to take great economic risks, there will always be great innovation within the space industry. Without an economic incentive for individuals to take great risks, innovation in space will be left to institutions, like governments, that typically can not take the necessary risks to maximize both the public and private economic benefits of space to all.
