Technical Characteristics and Production Practice of New Slab/Triple Bloom Caster in Xianggang

摘要

This paper aims to provide the main technical characteristics and parameters of the comb-caster, of which, according to the production practice, the main techno-economic indices are getting higher, and the output has exceeded the designed capacity. Besides, the average casting sequence of the caster for slab reaches to 16～18 heats, and bloom reaches to 10 heats, and the caster is adopted with fully automatic start for slab casting, and the automatic start casting for bloom almost available for 100%. The average qualification rate of slab and bloom, with an excellent surface and internal quality is over 99.5%, and the sulfur-print samples maximum qualification rate gets to 96.1% for slab, and 100 % for bloom.
