This paper is focused on several aspects of dynamic soft reduction, pursuing an aim to develop a general approach to technology optimization for minimizing center segregation in casting. The study was based on a computer simulation of steel solidification. Some key technology parameters of dynamic soft reduction system were investigated, such as pressure region, pressure capacity, pressure rate, the solidification end position and solid fraction .And then utilizing experiment-based to verify the computer modeling. Development of optimal operational patterns for continuous casting slab at a steel corporation of China.
