Considering uneven temperature of molten steel and hard removing of inclusions for large two-strand tundish, investigations were carried by water modeling experiment to optimize the structure of large two-strand tundish. The actual effects showed that: inclusions in steel and slab quality has greatly improved. The tilting angle and depth of submerged entry nozzle (SEN) have great influence on mold powder melting in the mold, furthermore, affecting the quality of slab. The parameters of SEN, therefore, were optimized by water modeling experiment. Results show that: the quality of the slab, the casting speed and output of slab are all improved.
