摘要

It is the main function for the mold flux to avoid breakout and improve lubrication between the solidified shell and mold when high carbon steel cast. But because of complex process and high temperature, the continuous casting is difficult to be monitored. Based on the mechanics and heat transfer theory, the mathematical model was established to calculate the friction force between the shell and the mold, and the change of the friction force was studied in condition of different mold flux and various technology parameters.
