1 Introduction Although SLA (second language acquisition) studies have a history of only a few decades, researchers have attempted to explore the issue from many perspectives such as linguistic, pedagogical, cognitive psychological, pragmatic, social-cultural etc. points of view. These studies have inspired innovations in the field of second/foreign language learning and teaching (SLLT or FLLT), and a rich variety of teaching methods resulted.
