The effect of dielectric losses on the performance of a Cerenkov FEL

摘要

In this paper we extend an existing numerical model of a Cerenkov FEL to incorporate the effect of dielectric losses. We use this model to show that dielectric losses can have a significant impact on the performance of low-gain Cerenkov FEL oscillators.
