A Portable Insole for Foot Plantar Pressure Measurement Based on A Pressure Sensitive Etextile and Voltage Feedback Method

摘要

Foot pressure distribution is an important parameter that is often used to measure the pressure and load under the feet. In recent years, a variety of insole based plantar pressure measurement systems have been developed. However, they are limited by the the data resolution in terms of number of pressure sensing units. In this paper, a new design of a smart portable insole that can monitor the foot plantar pressure measurement in introduced. This instrumented insole is made of a pressure sensitive E-textile. The resolution of pressure is enhanced by having 360 sensing arrays. A VF-NSE method was used to eliminate the cross-talk effect due to the inter-connected sensing units. The result shows that the foot pressure distribution can be monitored quite accurately by this low cost instrumented insole.
