Authigenicand diagenetic REE bearing minerals (e.g., apatite, crandallite, monazite, xenotime) are present in matrix phyllosilicates in roof rock, coal refuse samples, and underclay.rn1. REE trends and Srare indicative of diagenesis and formation of Ca-P and carbonate mineral zones.rnThe presence of crystalline monazite and xenotimeis a significant discovery showing that combustion has a limited impact on these phosphates.rn1.
