摘要

Vivaldi antenna is a wideband antenna working on the principle of travelling wave antenna. In this paper, Vivaldi antenna is designed with FR4epoxy (er = 4.4) substrate. ANSYS HFSS V.15.0 is used to simulate the antenna design. The radiation of the Vivaldi antenna is enhanced by introducing an elliptical patch in the flare edge. An elliptical complementary split ring resonator (ECSRR) is introduced in the elliptical patch and the variations in the performance characteristics are observed. In this paper, return loss, VSWR and gain of the designed antenna are presented and discussed.
