In view of the traditional magnetorheological damper adjustable range of small shortcomings, proposes a multilevel bypass type magneto rheological semi-active seat suspension structure. The three degree of freedom suspension model and the road model based on the 1/4 vehicle are established. And the structure of the multistage bypass type magnetorheological damper were designed. Laminar flow along the damping force model, turbulent flow damping force model, local damping force model and coulomb damping force model are established, and then build the hybrid damping force model. It provides the conditions and basis for the next model simulation and experimental verification. Experimental results show that the multistage bypass type magnetorheological damper with adjustable damping range, meet the vibration attenuation requirements.
