In order to develop substrate materials for antenna miniaturization, we have synthesized nickel zinc ferrite nanoparticles and their polymer composites. The synthesized magnetic nanoparticles (MNP) were characterized with a host of methods to determine magnetic and dielectric, structural, and physical properties. The average size of the magnetic nanoparticles is measured to be 60nm. The measured permeabilities and permittivities of the MNP-polymer composites decrease dramatically with increase in frequency. Their values can be tailored with ferrite loading.
