The adsorption character of kapok fiber with direct dyes and the dyeing technology of cationic modified kapok fiber with reactive dyes had been studied in this article. The results indicated that the dyeing adsorption isotherm of the direct dyes Solophenyl red 3BL on kapok fiber was a type of Freundlich adsorption isotherm. The dyeing technique parameters of cationic modified kapok fiber with the reactive dyes Cibacron FN-R included 1 % (owf) of dyes with 20g/L of NaCl and 2g/L of JFC on bath ratio of 1:50 at dyeing temperature of 40t for 30 minutes, and was fixed with 15g/L of Na_2CO_3 for 60 minutes, the dyeuptake, fixation ratio, washing-fastness, frictionfastness and K/S of cationic modified kapok fabric had enhanced by above technique.
