Plant effect soil moisture of sandy land, while fixing sand land and improving ecological environment. Soil moisture of sand-fixing forests in Yulin sandy land had been researched in this thesis, based on TDR and drying weighing menstruation. The results showed as follows: there were remarkable differences on soil moisture by sand-fixing shrubs. In 20-60cm soil layers, the soil moisture of sand land decreased with the vegetation coverage increased, but the variability of the soil moisture was very small in O-10cm and under 1OOcm soils layer. The soil moisture of surface layer in sand-fixing forests was higher than in shifting sandy land, but it was contrary under 30cm soils layer, because of effect of crust on the infiltration of rainfall. Moreover, water storage was higher significantly in sand-fixing forests after rainfall than in shifting sandy land, it had important role for plant growth.
