Problems and Management Strategies on Specialty Setting in Colleges and Universities

摘要

At present, colleges and universities have many problems with specialty setting and adjustments. It reflects a still serious situation, which the specialty set-up of colleges and universities is divorced from the needs of society. The institutional reason for this problem is that a poise between marketization of the graduate employment and none marketization of the specialty set-up and training pattern in colleges and universities. To change the situation, the management in the specialty setting of universities should take the following strategies: to define the goal of the specialty setting and adjustments, to keep specialty setting occupying the leading position to some extent, to give universities more decision-making power on specialty setting, and to combine the diversity of specialty setting with characterizing of specialty setting.
