Proper Cleanup and Improved Re-Acidization Quadruples Productivity Index In AHP-HT Horizontal Well Heavily Damaged With High-Weight Mud

The re-acidization of HP-HT horizontal oil well Umm GuddairrnXXX in Kuwait resulted in a productivity index four timesrnwhat was seen after the initial acidization. This astoundingrnimprovement in the results can be attributed to betterrnacidization through thorough cleaning of the horizontal sectionrnprior to the 2nd stimulation, as well as placing the acid inrnstages and introducing a suitable diverting agent.
