This paper propose the stainless retaining cage of the FSCW-SPM servo motors for retaining the PM. Compared to the FSCW-SPM servo motors with normal stainless sleeve, there is low rotor eddy current losses by using the retaining cage. In this paper, the structure strength of the stainless retaining cage is analyzed and proven having the enough reliability.
