Due to their good corrosion resistance Zn-Ni (10-15% Ni) electrodeposits are widely applied today as one of the alternative cadmium replacement. With a view to obtaining low Ni content electrochemical deposits but having a corrosion resistance at least comparable to that of 10-15% Ni containing alloys experimental researches have been carried out. That is why P co-deposition within Zn-Ni alloy from strong alkaline electrolytes (pH=12-12,5) was accomplished There were drawn up the catholic polarization curves and the characteristics of the deposits (chemical composition, structure) related to their corrosion resistance have also been studied.
