摘要

The reliability of piezo actuators in modern common rail diesel injectors is the basic requirement to guarantee the advantages of this technology over its lifetime. So far, manufacturers of actuators and injectors have applied their appropriate quality assurance systems without any standardized method existing. This contribution is to deliver a basic approach for a standardized process including large signal characterization, flaw detection and accelerated life cycle testing on PZT stack actuators. All measurement methods have been developed with regard to their usability within an automated quality assurance process on PZT stack actuators.
