摘要

A large number of huge populafions of the wild ancestor of conlmon buckwheat, Fagopyrum esculentum ssp.ancestrale, were found in the Dongyi river valley of Daocheng district of Sichuan province of China.Allozyme variation at 19 loci were surveyed for two populations from this valley and 9 natural populations from Yunnan and Sichuan provinces and eastern Tibet, along with 12 cultivated populations of common buckwheat. The natural populations from the Sanjiang area were most closely related with the cultivated populations, supporting Konishi et al.(2005)'s hypothesis of the origin of common buckwheat in the Sanjiang area. The natural populations from the Dongyi fiver valley had the highest allozyme variation, however, they situated far away from the cultivated common buckwheat in the phylogenetic tree.
