Characterization of a Novel Plasma-treated Ni/γ-Al2O3 Catalyst by Atmospheric High Frequency Cold Plasma Jet

摘要

A novel catalyst preparation for Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalyst has been conducted using atmospheric high frequency cold plasma jet. Such plasma-prepared Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalyst exhibited improved low-temperature activity for carbon dioxide reforming of methane,compared to the catalyst by conventional method. The XRD characterization confirmed that this novel plasma-assisted preparation could induce very small Ni particles. The size of the plasma-induced nickel particle size was only 5 nm. The novel plasma-treated Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalyst presented much enhanced nickel dispersion(XRD,H2-TPD) and better anti-carbon deposit performance from TGA and the stability test experiments.
