Synthesis and Crystal Structure of 4-(1,3,4-Thiadiazole-2-yl)-3-Thiourea Carboxylic Acid Ethyl Ester

The compound，4-(1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl)-3-thiourea carboxylic acid ethyl ester was synthesized by the reaction of 2-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole and ethyl chloroformate in ethyl acetate. Single crystals suitable for X-ray measurement were obtained by recrystallization with the mixture of dimethyl formamide and ethanol at room temperature. The crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Crystallographic data: C6H8N4O2S2，Mr=232.28，monoclinic，space group P2（1)/c with a=0.4206(3) nm，b=3.0417(18) nm，c=0.7934(5) nm,β=98.750(12)°，V=1.003（11）nm3，Dc=1.542 g·cm-3，μ=0.511 mm-1，F(000)=480，Z=4，R1=0.0685 and wR2=0.1452.
