If dependent scalar quantization is used, the quantizer selection depends on the decoding of the preceding transform coefficients, and the entropy decoding of the transform coefficients depends on the quantizer selection.In order to maintain high throughput in hardware implementation of the transform coefficient entropy coding, several decision schemes for scalar quantizers are proposed.In one implementation, the selection of the state transition and the context model is based only on the normal encoding bin.For example, the state transition may be based on the sum of SIG, GT1 and GT2 flags, exclusive or sum of SIG, GT1 and GT2 flags, or GT1 or GT2 flag.Once the transform coefficient block is encoded, the bin in the normal mode is first encoded at one or more scan paths, and the remaining bypass encoding bins are grouped with one or more scan paths.Selection diagram
