Disclosed are a smart weight device for measuring the degree of patellar dislocation of a companion animal and a companion animal management method using the same. A smart weight apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a weight measuring unit for measuring the weight of a companion animal; a pressure measuring unit configured to measure pressure generated by each of the legs of the companion animal when the companion animal is weighed; and detecting the position of each of the legs based on the pressure value measured for each of the legs, and determining the degree of patellar dislocation of the companion animal based on the detected position and the measured pressure value for each of the legs and a controller for providing information on the measured degree of patellar dislocation and the measured weight, wherein the controller provides information on the measured position of each of the legs and the measured pressure value of the companion animal. The degree of patellar dislocation is measured, and the measured degree of patellar dislocation may be provided.
