The present invention relates to a device for detecting a human activity or the state of an infrastructure or an object affected by a person by measuring acceleration. The device has an acceleration sensor arranged to react to a preset threshold of the measured acceleration and trigger at least one of an action of storing data, modifying a counter or transmitting a data telegram by radio when the threshold is exceeded. The device further includes an energy converter for converting the primary energy into electrical energy for operating the device or an acceleration sensor. The energy converter is arranged to obtain the primary energy independent of the energy resulting from the measured acceleration.
