PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spinel particles excellent in affinity to resin.;SOLUTION: The method for producing a spinel particle comprising magnesium, aluminum, oxygen, and molybdenum atoms includes a sintering step of sintering a magnesium compound and an aluminum compound in the presence of a molybdenum atom and a compound having an additive atom to obtain a sintered compact, and a cooling step of cooling the sintered compact.
