Alkaline-earth and magnesium phosphates, aluminium sodium chloride, and ferric chloride are obtained by fractionally subliming aluminium ferric phosphates and calcium aluminium ferric phosphates in the presence of water with alkaline earth or magnesium chlorides, or their combinations with the alkali metals such as carnallite and refuse salts of the salt industry, instead of with alkali chlorides. Aluminium chloride sublimes first and is led into a strong solution of common salt or brine, in which aluminium sodium chloride is formed ; ferric chloride then sublimes and is condensed separately.
