Electronically controlled meter for heat quantities - uses Zener dioce or quartz crystal frequency as reference value and CMOS or switching circuits as electronic units
The meter has a self-contained current supply unit, which obtains from the tested medium electric energy necessary for the electronic equipment operation. CMOS units or bipolar switching circuits are used as electronic units, and stepping mechanism and/or drum counters are used as indicators. They are controlled by pulses. Counting pulses proportional to heat energy consumption are electronically stored when current supply is insufficient owing to low heat consumption. Voltage of a Zener diode or a frequency derived from a quartz crystal are used as reference value for calculation of the energy consumed. In order to reduce electric energy consumption, temp. sensors and electronic circuits are operated pulsewise.
