The mat is constructed from a set of longitudinally non-deformable links (15, 16) with holes (18) in which the teeth of the drive-sprockets engage. They are connected together side-by-side. The outer sections (12, 13) and central section (14) are of sprung deformable construction. The tracks are particularly for use on a snow vehicle. The design, by virtue of its non-rigid side and central sections saves material in manufacture, has low rolling resistance and good grip, and is not so likely to lock as previously known tracks.
