Digital control for thyristor converter for DC machine - enables arrival sequence at thyristor of control pulses from clock pulse counter and decoder to be varied

The digital control is for a thyristor d.c. converter used to control the speed of d.c. traction and industrial drive motors and for voltage control with inductive loads. It has a matching circuit, containing 4 AND-gates, and a switching circuit for the control pulses containing 6 AND-gates and two flipflops. The decoder outputs for time shifted controls pulses are connected to the control electrodes of the thyristors which are coupled to a clock pulse counters outputs. The arrival sequence of control pulses at the thyristor control electrodes can be varied.
