摘要

PURPOSE:To effectively utilize powders of crystalline schist such as sericite schist or chlorite schist as a reinforcing material for composite materials. CONSTITUTION:The sericite contained in sericite schist has a diameter of about 30-500mu and a high aspect ratio, and can be easily comminuted by simple grinding to yield mica having an appropriate diameter and an aspect ratio. The mica is utilized as a reinforcing material for plastic composite materials and cement composites. In addition to sericite schist, crystalline schists such as chlorite schist, amphibole schist and chlorite-amphibole schist can also be used. By the way, aforementioned crystalline schists contain quartz particles to a considerable extent, but these particles can easily be removed by subjecting ground schist to floatation or table concentration.
