Precision metering device has a glass metering cylinder with a moving piston in it by which a measured quantity of liquid is expelled. Mounted vertically parallel to the metering cylinder there is a drive cylinder, the position of which is controlled by means of an electrically or pneumatically actuated control valve. The piston and the drive are linked by a horizontal bridge. The upper stroke of this bridge is controlled by a limit switch, the position of which can be adjusted to adjust the amount delivered. Used for accurately automatically dispensing liquids in a laboratory. Allows infinitely variable range of volumes to be automatically dispensed up to the maximum of the metering cylinder.
