Coin tester preventing deliberate test mechanism blockage - has inlet control set into deflecting position by passage of coin and returned to receiving position by final contacts

The tester has an inlet control for coins, a measuring arrangement, a sorting deflector and at least one receiving channel for good coins as well as a return channel for false coins. An inlet control arrangement is set into a deflector position by passage of a coin. This prevents the use of coins deliberately prepared to block the testing mechanism so that it can be by-passed. A switch is assigned to the, or each, receiving channel and produces a signal for returning the inlet control arrangement to its receive position after the passage of a coin. Similarly, the fall of a coin from a return channel, directly or indirectly, produces a signal for the same purpose. Normal working allows coins to be fed fairly rapidly.
