ABSTRACTThe invention relates to a process for separatingrock refuse of coal mining and products of coal depositswith rock intercalation, the coal contents of which beingadvantageously less, than 50 %, into parts being rich andpoor in coal, respectively, in a given case in a purerefuse parts by using the heavy-media process. Hereinafter from the raw material and fromthe weighting materiel partly being present in the rawmateriel in a quantity of et least 7 weight-%, advantageously10 weight-%, in a grain size of 0-0,5 mm, pertly recycledfrom the process, e mixture of sludge is prepared in thepresence of a liquid phase, while the density of the sludgemixture is adjusted in accordance with the extent ofseparation. The sludge mixture is allowed to pass throughone or more hydrocyclones and equipments separatingaccording to grainsize end/or grading equipments, Thedensity of a part or of the entirety of the streamingsuspension is adjusted in accordance with the requireddensity of the sludge mixture, and the suspension in adensity thus adjusted is recycled to the sludge production,The product resulting from separation and the suspensionnot having been recycled are discharged from the system.In case of necessity the process is partly or entirelyautomatically controlled.
