摘要
A prestressed concrete pressure vessel for nuclear reactor plants is intended esp. for gas-cooled reactors and has a steel liner to the reactor vault and wall penetrations or ducts. The reactor consists of two separate zones, the dividing point between them lying on the boundary between activated and non-activated zones. This boundary may be formed as a joint by chemical surface treatment of the concrete. Vertical pipes or rods may be provided in the activated zone and/or in the separation region; these pipes or rods extend to below the bottom of the reactor. The pipes or rods are pref. of plastics, cardboard or the like and filled with filling material. With this arrangement, when the reactor is finally no longer reqd. and needs to be demolished, the activated and non-activated zones are clearly defined and sepd.. The pipes may be used for introducing blasting charges and/or the rods may be used for splitting open the vessel at the joint zone.
