PURPOSE:To permit an increase in the back and forth reflection times of light and a considerable decrease in the diameter or the length of the sides of prisms by forming the corner prisms in such a way that their incident areas contribute to indence and reflection as effectively as possible. CONSTITUTION:When the incident ray 19 from the point A at the x-, y-coordinate planes parallel with theincident and exit faces 12, 14 in a pair of prisms 11, 13 is made incident perpendicularly to a corner cube prims 11, the ray thereof reflects in the prism 11 and emits perpendicularly from the point B which is symmetrical with a corner point 17. Thereafter the ray is made incident perpendicularly to the incident and exit face 14 of a corner prism 13, reflects therein, emits from the point C which is symmetrical with a corner point 18. Further the ray is made incident perpendicularly to the prism 11 and repeats the similar reflections. The ray emits as an exit ray 20 perpendicularly from the point R in the prism 11.
